A Michael Ealy Story

“Hey Baby,” E’lana said as she opened the door and planted a kiss on Michael’s lips.
“Hey,” he said as he walked in and removed his jacket.
“Is everything alright?” she asked as she wrapped her arms around his neck. “You seemed upset on the phone and now you look like your dog just died. What’s wrong?”
Smiling, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to worry you. I just need to talk to you.”
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine.”
“Ok, well dinner is almost ready so we can talk while we eat,” she said as she went back into the kitchen to finish cooking.
Michael took a seat on the bar stool at the counter. He made small talk with E’lana while she finished preparing the food. He decided to hold off on the “real” conversation until after dinner. It was no sense in spoiling it after she took the time to cook dinner for him.
After dinner they sat on the sofa.
“Okay, I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure out what you want to talk about. What is it?” E’lana pleaded.
Michael let out a heavy sigh and began, “Alright. Well I first wanted to say that I’ve really enjoyed these last four weeks with you.”
“Three weeks and four days to be exact,” she giggled.
“Riggggght…three weeks and four days,” he laughed. “And each day has been wonderful with you.” Mike paused, biting the side of his bottom lip.
E’lana looked at him intently. She had a sinking feeling at the bottom of her stomach telling her that this conversation was about to head downhill.
“Just tell me Mike,” she insisted.
“It’s hard to say what I need to say because you don’t deserve it.”
“I don’t deserve what?”
“We have to end our relationship,” he said as he lowered his eyes.
Michael couldn’t stand to look up at her, so he looked down at his hands. He could hear her heavy breaths and see from the corner of his eye how her chest rose and fell. He knew she was pissed and he couldn’t blame her.
“Are you going to tell me why?” she angrily asked. “Look at me Michael.”
Michael looked into her eyes and could see they were full of tears. “I didn’t mean to hurt you E’lana. This was not my intentions. I just really wanted to have someone special in my life again.”
“So I’m not special enough?”
“Of course you are. I told you that I think you’re wonderful…I…I just have to follow my heart.”
“What are you talking about? What do you mean you have to follow your heart?”
“It’s a long story.”
“Well if time is what you need to explain this shit to me, then time is what I’m giving you. I need to understand this,” she said through a broken voice.
“Okay,” he said as he caressed her arm. “Look…a woman came into my life about five months ago and we’ve only been friends. She went through something traumatic that prevented us from getting together. I saw her through the rough parts of it but her full healing seemed like it would never come. I didn’t want to wait any longer so I decided to put myself out there again and I met you. I’m glad I met you but I didn’t realize that my heart wouldn’t allow me to fully move on like I wanted to. I tried…you just have no idea how hard I tried but I can’t get her out of my head. I don’t want to give you part of me…you deserve all of me and that’s why I have to walk away from us. I’m sorry for dropping the ball.”
E’lana put her hands over her face and cried. Michael pulled her into his arms and comforted her.
“I’m so sorry,” he repeated.
“I get it and all. It just hurts because I really saw something between us. I really liked you.”
“E’lana I don’t want you to think that I didn’t like you as well…I do like you and I think you are a remarkable woman.”
“I know…you just have to follow your heart. You weren’t already dating her were you?”
“No, I promise. I’ve only been dating you. She doesn’t even know how I feel.”
They both laughed and said their goodbyes.
I didn’t have any tricks, any gimmicks, nothing up my sleeves. All I knew is that I wanted his heart, so I gave it one last attempt before I accepted defeat.
Since I had laid it all out on the table almost a week ago, I hadn’t heard E’lana’s voice in his apartment. That didn’t mean she wasn’t there—I just couldn’t hear her. Every thought of knocking on his door and her opening it, scared the shit outta me but I had to try.
I knocked on his door and he greeted me with a half smile.
“Hey,” Michael said.
“Hi,” I responded. “Are you busy or have company?”
He nodded no.
“I keep telling my heart to forget about you but somewhere in the course of its design it missed out on ears; it doesn’t hear me. I miss you so incredibly much. Even though I’m supposed to let you go, tell you that I only want the best for you, and for you to be happy; I can’t help but to think that you’ll be happier with me so isn’t that the best?”
He looked at me and smiled.
I grabbed his wrist and turned his palm up. I placed the deck of cards in his hand.
“What’s this?” he asked.
“I can’t play basketball, I can’t sing, act, or tap dance…it’s not much I can do, but I can love you and I can play the hell outta some gin rummy. I’ll play you for your heart. 2 outta 3?”
He looked down and let out a heavy sigh before speaking, “You are impossible. You are the most exasperating, maddening, and just DIFFICULT woman I have ever met. Sometimes I want to just strangle you,” he said as he cupped his hands in a strangulation position. “But then I hear you say my full name ‘Michael’ and all I wanna do is kiss you, hold you, protect you, and love you. Damn you woman for getting inside me and infecting me with your neuroticism. You love me huh?”
I was slightly scared and touched at the same time, but I shook my head in agreement. Of course I loved him.
“Then you better be ready for me,” he threatened.
“I’m ready,” I persisted.
Michael grabbed me from the other side of the archway and up into his arms. I squeezed his cheeks together as I bent my head down to kiss him. The moment our lips touched…BOOM! He was the detonator to my explosive. The walls were falling down all around us.
“Make love to me,” I whimpered.
He left the words behind, carrying me into the bedroom. He laid me on his bed, kissing every ounce of my face, neck, and hands. He took his time with me—looking into my eyes after every kiss, every touch, and in between every garment he removed from my body. He made me giddy and nervous all at once. My body began to slightly tremble as his hands caressed my naked body, admiring it…taking it all in. After his careful examination, he started at my belly, kissing all over it. Goose bumps filled my arms and legs as my body continued to shudder uncontrollably.
“Do you want me to stop?” he asked.
“No. I want you,” I assured him.
He kissed and massaged each breast until both my nipples were firm as pebbles. He swiveled his tongue around them, letting his spit run down before he slurped it back up. The sounds he made with his lips made my body melt. I ran my hands through his fro as I enjoyed his affection. He slowly moved down my body, kissing and licking a trail down to my nether region. He spread my legs apart and kissed my lips. He licked up, down, and between every fold, and then sucked my clit into his mouth. Ooo, the way he nibbled and sucked on it had me squirming. My body began to shake violently and I screamed as I came, pushing Michael off of me.
I lied there, gasping for air as my body tried to regain control. My eyes remained closed, but soon I felt the warmth of Michael as he lied across my body and kissed my lips. I wrapped my arms and legs around him and once more my body began to tremble.
“You’re trembling again. I can stop if you want me to,” he said as he looked sorrowfully into my eyes.
“I’m okay. Don’t stop.”
I couldn’t explain why my body reacted to him that way. I was nervous but not in the way that he probably thought I was. I wasn’t afraid to be with him. I was afraid of not giving him everything he wanted in that moment. I just wanted to please him.
I felt his manhood graze against my love. Even though I couldn’t get my body to relax, I opened my legs wide and kissed him passionately to welcome him in. He entered me warmly and moved so tenderly inside me. He held me tight, making love to me.
His breathing became rapid and he quickened his pace, but every movement was precise, purposeful, and gentle. I had never felt as connected to an individual as I did that night. It could get no better.
He rocked our bodies until my raging rapids broke passed the levies and flooded us out, while his rivers simultaneously collided into mine. We reached the pinnacle at the same time.
He lied on my chest as his breathing subsided. I caressed his face with one hand as the other played in his hair. I kissed the top of his head and I could feel a smile sweep across his face.
He looked up at me with the smile I knew was ever-present and gave me the sweetest kiss. “With all my fussing earlier, I failed to mention that I love you too,” he said.
“Not as much as I love you,” I replied.
“Wanna bet on it? 2 out of 3…I’ll play you for it,” he grinned.
